Today I would like to share with you my artwork which features Close to My Hearts featured Collection for October – Holly & Ivy.
This is a Pinwheel card created using the beautiful Holly and Ivy Paper suite – X7273B and “A Furry Merry Christmas” stamp & thin cut set that includes some very cute cat and dog Christmas images. The Holly & Ivy paper suite is full of traditional Christmas colours and patterns featuring Evergreen, Candy Apple & Sage and is so versatile in any of your projects.
This card folds flat to post and measures 5×7 inches. Each panel has space to make it your own and bling it up. I used Scarlet glitter paper, Red Shimmer Trim and lots of Silver and Diamond Stickles once I had coloured them using my favourite Triblend Markers.
This card was so fun to create and is much simpler than it looks.
To make this you need a 5 x 7 base – scored at 0.5, 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5. You will also need (3) 5 x 3.5 flaps.
Then just add your Patterned paper to the base and decorate away. Here is a link to my How to Video
I love how I can celebrate my Santa photos from over the years on this classic layout featuring all the patterns from the paper suite. This is created using 2 inch strips around the edge of the page with one of my favourite new colours – Harbour – in the middle. Harbour is so versatile and grounds a layout well and allows the patterns to shine and is a great alternative to black. The page is completed with the perfectly classic Holly and Ivy Santa Stamp and Thin cuts (Z4327) I love this old fashioned Santa stamp and it is a keeper for sure.
